March 13, 2007Snow Patrol... AGAIN. With more lovin.
So my last post was last year May for Snow Patrol Weekend. This is about Snow Patrol weekend March 10 and 11. I saw Snow Patrol AGAIN in Austin and Houston. I've been a huge fan of theirs for years and many years to come! They're an awesome band live and the nicest people in person. I wish for the best for them! But to the concert and so on:
Ok Go and the Silversun Pickups opened for Snow Patrol. OK GO was fucking ridiculous in Austin. They had a kid that is famous for his jump rope skills to do his thang on stage while they sang "Here it Goes Again", and they played "A Million Ways" acoustic. Silversun Pickups were awesome, the lead singer is funny as hell, and the girl who plays the bass guitar plays like she owns the band. HAHA. GIRL POWER. Went to the Austin show with my big bro and Andie! It was Andie's B-day present, cause I love her and she deserved a good present. We freaking waited in line from 3-7 BUT IT'S OK. We were front row center. Houston concert... there were 2 girls ahead of us that waited from 11 AM. Lindsay and I showed up at 3. And we were 2nd. HAHAHAHA. Owned. Darren and Claire weere late but they ended up being close to us, and then ending up next to us! We ended up talking to the band after the Houston show. <3 Gary is a cutie! I got the first hug! He walked around the barricade and walked past those damn high school girls that annoyed the crap out of me, AND HUGGED ME. ME! BOOYAH. I sang with him on stage, asked him questions about SP, etc... we even pretended we were in Dirty Dancing! He said, "I'm Patrick Swayze, and you're Jennifer Grey!" We were going to do the dance where he catches me, but the damn cops ruined everything. Fuck you cops. He even said he knew I was the girl at the aTx show. He even remembered me, Darren and Lindsay from last year! LOVE. I also told Gary to look at Darren's shirt. He laughed like no other... he was like "DICK IN A BOX!" HAHA. I FUCKING LOVE GARY. Talked to Paul about drunken stories. Told him when they're stuck in a hotel to watch C-Span and take a shot everytime someone says Nay and Yay. He suggested to play "Roxanne" by The Police, and take a shot everytime Sting says Roxanne. He even said, he was made out of alcohol because he's Scottish. Told Tom how much I <3 them. And how many times I've seen them in concert. He gave me a giant hug and told me it's people like me they love to play for! He's like a teddy bear!!! Nathan was deathly tired, and he took my damn permanent marker. Or was it Gary? But he was wearing a shirt where you could totally see his chest hair. MMMM. HAHA. I <3 Nathan too, I'm not gonna lie. When I sang on stage, Gary said, "You''ll do fine" right into my ear. I was freaking out. It was a sold out show, and Gary was... 5 feet away SINGING WITH ME. I of course blew my homies a kiss. Gary then said he couldn''t dedicate the next song they played to me (Somewhere A Clock is Ticking) because that would be fucked up. But he did dedicate "Make This Go On Forever" which is MY FAVORITE FREAKING SONG ON THE EYES OPEN ALBUM. Figures. In the Austin concert, Gary decided to talk to me one on one about writing what I thought about a song. Literally during the middle of the show. UGH. I LOVE HIM. I was going to sing at that show, but I chickened out like a complete fucking idiot. Gary was looking straight at me and said, "I usually choose the people that everyone is pointing at..." UGH. I LOVE GARY. HAHA. I got the set list, my album cover signed, HUGS, and Gary's water bottle. (which also means I got his DNA... HAHA) PS. Snow Patrol wrote the song for the Spiderman 3 movie. [straight from Gary''s lucious lips] PPS. Thank you Jesus(not the prophet) for picking me up and putting me on the stage, gracefully!

May 29, 2006Snow Patrol Weekend
Austin, Texas May 26, 2006... trip to Austin for Snow Patrol. Worth the drive, wait, heat.
Front row at the Snow Patrol concert. AMAZING opening acts Augustana and The Duke Spirit. 3 bands for the price of one. GOOD DEAL. I got Nathan's guitar pick as well. AND I got a poster from outside of stubbs. And two new tour shirts. Houston, Texas May 27, 2006. Drove back at 7AM to go to Houston, to see the Kempner graduation at 1PM. My 06ers... silly people. Then it was time for the concert. It was so amazing. It was so ridiculous how I was front row DEAD CENTER. Best seats in the house. Gary would come down in front of the stupid barricade and sing sing sing. It made me uber happy. I got the set list too! But it was after the show that made all the travelling and all the time I spent worthwhile. I GOT TO MEET THE BAND (AGAIN). All I can say is that they are the nicest people I've met with that much status. Usually people of their fame is so full of shit. But they actually ran outside to meet everyone. I met Gary first, then Paul, then the silly Tom and Johnny and FINALLY Nathan. Nathan said he didn;t know everyone was already outside... and that he was just waiting for them... silly man. Anyways... the pictures say it all. They signed my ticket too! I thought it was worthy of a post. An amazing two nights.

More.I've had this account since... May of last year... It's been so long since I last updated so I decided to update now. Hell I even forgot my password for a moment. Pictures will be fun... Anyways, I'm effing bored, and I should be studying for an exam, but hell, I'm tired and I don't care too much right now. I changed so much over the course of a year, my pictures will probably not even come close to show it. I'll update soon again. Peace out
